Microsoft introduced a new feature called “fast startup” that uses a form of hibernation during system shutdown and startup that can save a minimal amount of time during boot. However, this may cause issues for various applications.
If you find that SimVisuals does apply the warp and blend on startup, try rebooting the PC, if this works, Windows Fast Start is likely causing an issue.
To disable fast start:
- Click the Windows Start button
- Select Settings Gear-shaped icon > System > Power & sleep
- Then click Additional Power Settings > Choose what the power buttons do
- Now uncheck Turn on fast startup
